Fact 2: The St. Louis Rams lost to the Redskins 9-7.
Fact 3: The Rams got shut out by the Seattle Seahawks 28-0.
Fact 4: The Seahawks got beat by the San Francisco 49ers 23-10.
Fact 5: Calculating by the scores (by dividing their score by their opponents score), the Giants scored slightly above 1.35x the Redskins. The Redskins scored slightly below 1.29x the Rams.
Hypothesis 1: By multiplying the scoring multipliers, we can conclude that the Giants would have outscored the Rams by about 1.74x.
Fact 6: Calculating by the scores, the Seahawks scored infinity times higher than the Rams (or shut them out). The 49ers scored exactly 2.3x the Seahawks.
Hypothesis 2: By using the same scoring multipliers, we can conclude the 49ers would have had infinity times the score of the Rams (AKA shut out).
Fact 7: Infinity > 1.74x
Conclusion: If the Giants were to play the 49ers and the Giants were to replicate their week 1 outing and the 49ers were to replicate their week 2 outing, the 49ers would beat the Giants. Therefore, the 49ers are better than the Giants.
Fact 8: Boom, baby.
You can’t argue with that logic. Straight up 9th grade math in your face.
